Website care isn’t the sexiest of topics, but just like you need to eat and shower regularly, your website needs to be cared for daily to keep it ready for business.

Your Website Is Critical To Your Business
You have a website that is crucial to your business. It generates leads, customers and revenue (or at least it should). It’s a channel through which customers, suppliers, potential new staff and partners will find you and engage with you. It’s fundamental to the success of your business, and you want peace of mind that it will be up and available for your audience 24/7 – without interruption.
All Software Is Vulnerable
Software needs updating.
All software.
Including the software that powers your website.
It’s a continuous cycle of hackers finding new ways into the software that drives your site, and the software vendors releasing updates to lock them out again.
More and more websites are getting hacked and attacked, including the big players like Twitter and Facebook as well as millions of small businesses everyday. It’s the nature of the world we live in and unfortunately websites are an easy target.
What are your options?
Do It Yourself?
Keeping your website up to date, backed up and secure can be time consuming and a little tedious. It takes you away from what you should be doing, which is building relationships with your customers, staff and partners. The technology continues to evolve and there is no way you can keep abreast of all the trends and developments.
Generic Help?
Yes there are plenty of options for you to keep your website managed and up to date by the same company that hosts it. They do it for thousands of customers every day. That means they are experienced. It also means they might not be paying attention to the finer details of your particular website and business needs.
Our Help
We take the time to get to know you, your business and your website intimately.
We also know the software (WordPress) your website is built on – very well. We’ve been using it for over 12 years, and all of our websites (including this one) are built on the same software.
So we are in the best position to keep your website up and running and open for business, and we can do that with one of our Website Care Plans.
The Upside
Working with us means your website will continue to drive attention and customers into your business, at a fraction of the time and cost it would take to do yourself.

Social Proof
We’re happy to give you boat loads of references and testimonials on request, but perhaps one of the most compelling reasons to work with us is that we know each and every one of our clients and interact directly with them.
We’re not a big faceless agency and we don’t try to squish you into a defined box. We work with you on what you need, when you need it.

We Are Busy
It’s true. Like Doctors in the 70’s and Accountants in the 80’s, good web developers are flat out these days and it doesn’t look like that’s going to change in a hurry.
We Need To Know More About You (And Your Site)
In all honesty, life is better when working with clients who understand the value their website adds to their business, and are serious about making sure their site is kept in the best shape it can be.
That’s why we’ve made our website care plans available by application only.
And only after we conduct a full review of your site.
Why a review?
Unless we created your website for you, we don’t know what type of hosting you have (some website hosts are easier to work with than others), how your site is set up, what theme it uses and if there needs to be a clean up before we can take on looking after your site.
A review will allow us to find out the status of your site now, if any repair work needs to be done and if you’ll need any custom additions to your care plan.
Remember, this service is designed to offer you peace of mind and the assurance that you have a skilled partner who can help you achieve your online objectives. And we can only give you that assurance if we know what we’re dealing with.
The Process
Fill out the application form below and pay the review fee.
We review your site – the plugins, the theme, the way it’s constructed, and other technical and functional details.
We then jump on a call together to go over the results and make sure we are a good fit to work together.
If we both agree we’re a good fit then you’ll receive a link to sign up to the appropriate care plan. If not, at least you have an actionable set of recommendations to improve your site.
You win either way 🙂

Got questions? We answer them all for you right here.
Do I really need to keep WordPress and my plugins updated?
From time to time, new versions of WordPress and your installed plugins will be released. These updates often include bug fixes and security patches. It’s important to make sure the updates are implemented as soon as they are available, otherwise you are leaving your site vulnerable to hackers.
I generally get this question from people who are afraid that the updates will break something on their site. Whilst this is certainly a possibility, you won’t have to worry about this any more – we will make sure your site is safe and nothing gets broken by the updates.
How do backups work?
A full backup is run nightly and will make a copy of your entire site – all your blog posts, page content, blog post images, the look of your site (theme files), etc.
Your backup files will be stored off site for added protection. A common error is leaving backups on your server – this is a problem if your site goes down, or is hacked, because you will likely lose your backups too (which defeats the purpose of conducting backups).
How does site security work?
We install the industry leading security software and configure it to provide your site with the highest possible level of protection against hackers and malware.
Your site will also be monitored 24 hours a day and we will be alerted if anyone tries to mess with your site.
Why is the investment higher for membership sites and e-commerce sites?
Membership sites and e-commerce sites are more complex than your average website (brochure and service sites). There are usually more plugins that need to play nice together. And then there is all the critical sales and customer data that needs to be protected and maintained.
The last thing you want is an errant update taking down your money making site. So we take extra special care of the site, dedicating additional time and resources to make sure it keeps running smoothly (and keeps making you money).
I have multiple small membership sites – can they all be covered by the one Pro Package?
In cases like this we’d need to review what you currently have (multiple, stand-alone membership sites can be an extra headache you don’t need).
Depending on how your business is structured, you may be able to have your courses under the one umbrella site which allows for easy cross promotion and makes caring for your websites and your membership so much easier and it will likely save you money.
If we do find that you’d be better combining your courses into one main member area, there will be a separate quote required to do all the moving and then we can commence with your membership site care.
What does “Unlimited” small tasks means? Is it really as many as I want?
A small task is any discrete task on your site that can be completed in under 30 minutes. Things like adding a plugin, loading a new blog post, changing some styling.
Small tasks are not to be used to break up bigger projects (like implementing a new member area) and implement them bit by bit. Things like this need to be managed as a complete project to make sure you get the right outcome.
And yes, you can ask for as many of these as you want. We trust you not to abuse the system.
If you’re not sure whether something qualifies as a small job, just submit it anyway. We’ll let you know if we think it should be treated as part of a bigger piece of work.
Is this a yearly, lock-in contract?
No, it’s a month to month commitment only. You can stop your service at any time.
I had a different developer/designer build my website. Can I still be on one of these care plans?
Absolutely! Though we may be limited on how much we can do – particularly when it comes to improving site speed.
What we’re able to do primarily depends on the quality of the software (themes, plugins, etc.) used on the site and how the original site builder put things together.
This is why we insist on reviewing your site before we agree to maintain it. We don’t want to waste your money, or my time, if we can’t be sure we can ensure the ongoing stability of your site.
If all is good, we can move straight into the care phase.
If, however, we find issues that we think need to be addressed then we will provide you with a list of recommendations, and together we will make a plan to fix them. Note that if the issues are serious enough, we may need to hold off on commencing care until they are resolved.
