Ever wondered what the top 5 content types professional creators focus on are? What about if more money really means more happiness as a creator? Or what working habits are most common amongst creators?
As a solo business operator, we can feel quite isolated, and even wonder whether we are “doing it right”.
Well, the State of the Creator Economy Report 2022 is here to answer all those questions, and so many more.
Thanks to ConvertKit, the creator marketing platform (and my favourite email service provider), we now have some fascinating stats on the mindset, habits, successes, and challenges of the creator economy in 2022.
This report is the culmination of 2,704 creators sharing their experiences. Together, these creators bring over 11,000 years of combined audience-building expertise and $66 million in 2021 earnings.
They’ve shown that not only is the creator economy vast, but it is poised to grow even further in 2022 (and beyond).
There are also some very interesting observations in terms of age and gender distribution. Not to mention the range of topics that creators make money in. It’s also quite eye opening to see what sort of income people are actually making.
I’m excited to share this report with you as it reinforces many of the messages I’ve been writing about recently:
- You can make money out of any topic you want
- It’s never too late to start
- You can do it part-time if you prefer (and still make good money)
- You can choose a medium that suits you
You can check out ConvertKit’s State of the Creator Economy landing page here for quick insights and then download the full PDF version of the report to get an in-depth look at what’s really happening with creators in 2022.
I hope you find it as interesting (and uplifting) as I did.
Happy reading!
